How often do you update your shop?
As a micro, artist-owned business, Stoneworks Ceramics Studio works continuously to keep up with new products, regular shop restocking and customer requests.
We try to the best of our capabilities & abilities to update our online shop once in a month with multiples of items ranging from popular product restocks to smaller updates of new designs.
If you have something you want to see in the next update, give us a shout! We will try to work it in.
Shipping
2. How long will it take to receive my items?
Orders placed with Stoneworks Ceramics Studio are shipped every Friday. If a public holiday falls on a Friday, we will ship them out the following Monday.
All domestic and international orders will be shipped via courier companies (ABX Express/ DHL eCommerce/ FedEx).
Domestic orders can generally take anywhere between 2 - 8 working days depending on your location in Malaysia (rural areas may take even longer).
3. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do ship internationally. Prices and shipping time will vary according to which country/part of the world we’re shipping to. Customs may also slow down your order.
Custom Orders
4. Do you make custom orders?
Yes, we do. We love to make special pieces for our customers but this is not always feasible due to time constrains. Do get in touch and we can further discuss your needs and our current workload.
Returns Policy
5. Can I return an item if I change my mind?
All sales are final, they won't be refunded for change of mind, all pieces have been made by hand, hence, they will have some quirks in colour variations and sizes not being exact due to their uneven nature - kindly respect this. We capture our tableware as true and as close to their original colour as possible – we don’t use any filters to our images.
If for some reason you are not happy with your order, please get in touch so we can talk about it together. It is of upmost importance that our customers are happy with their pieces.
6. What if I receive my ceramics in a damaged condition?
Please get in touch with us within 2 days of receiving your item(s). Refunds/replacements will be decided on an individual case-by-case basis. We require you to email us a photo of the damaged piece in its packaging. We will discuss your options of either organizing a replacement to be sent out to you (if it's in stock) or allow a number of weeks for a replacement to be made and sent out to you. If we can't replace the piece (due to its one-off nature), we will refund you the purchase price of the piece minus the shipping costs. International orders will receive a refund on the damaged piece (minus the shipping costs) with no option of a replacement in this transaction.

7. How do I best care for my ceramics?
Hand-crafted ceramics enjoy a little extra care and love to keep them looking beautiful. Most of our ceramics are dishwasher safe though we strongly recommend washing by hand in warm soapy water with a non-abrasive cloth to keep them in perfect condition. Rinse your pieces as soon as possible to prevent any staining. Ingredients such as beetroot and turmeric can be hard to remove if left to sit overnight.
8. Are these ceramics microwaved oven safe?
All pieces are oven and microwave safe. All materials used are toxic free and lead free.
Thermal shock occurs when ceramics are being placed straight into a hot oven and then transferred to a cold surface or from a freezer to a hot environment such as an oven. To use ceramics in the oven safely, you should not pre-heat your oven. Instead, place your dish in the oven cold and gradually heat it up, this will prevent any cracking problems.
By purchasing Stoneworks Ceramics Studio’s products, you are acknowledging that:
• Each item is handmade and will show the marks of this process.
• Each piece is unique, bearing the same colors and similarities, with differences in applications of glaze and slight variations in size.
• All ceramic wares are made with attention to detail including remnants of the hand at work and intentional “imperfections”.
• Unless otherwise stated, all items are oven and microwave and oven friendly.
• Functionality is tested and unless otherwise noted (seconds), all of our ceramics will function normally as they are advertised.
• Lastly, please remember to be kind when purchasing handmade ceramics. These items are loved from the minute they are made to the second they’re sent out to you. Handmade products are more fragile compared to factory-made products and they require extra care and a touch of human love.
